OUR SUMMER EXHIBITION AT ORTO BOTANICO CORSINI SCULPTURE
Spirits of the Landscape is a summer exhibition by Mexican sculptor Marco Kalach at OBC Sculpture, part of the Association Orto Botanico Corsini in Porto Ercole, Tuscany, running from July 17 to October 10, 2026. Part of the historic Corsini family estate, the botanical garden is among the region’s most significant heritage sites and, in recent years, has developed a contemporary art programme dedicated to commissioning site-specific projects that engage with its architecture, history and landscape.
Created specifically for this setting, the exhibition presents 12 sculptures that reflect on the landscape as a cultural construct in constant transformation. Through a series of sculptural interventions, Kalach establishes new relationships between material, nature and architecture, integrating his practice into an environment where the history of the site becomes an essential part of the experience of the work.
The sculptures belong to Kalach’s series The Invisible Hunters, inspired by a legend of Nicaragua’s Miskito people. The story tells of three hunters who discover a sacred plant named Dar. As punishment for disturbing it, they become invisible forever. Their bodies disappear, but their presence remains, and their voices are said to linger in a faint whisper: “Dar… Dar… Dar…”
Represented by Georgina Pounds Gallery, Marco Kalach presents this project as part of an ongoing collaboration between the Orto Botanico Corsini gardens and Georgina Pounds, who has previously served as an advisor to the programme and has facilitated the participation of other contemporary artists within this context. Spirits of the Landscape is supported by Regione Toscana and the Comune di Monte Argentario, bringing together Italian cultural institutions and the gallery in the development of a new site-specific commission.

Condo Mexico City x Perla Krauze
Georgina Pounds Gallery x J O H S April 23 - May 3, 2026 Presented in the romantic galleries at Georgina Pounds Gallery, Perla Krauze transforms natural stone into a feminine presence that holds and traces gentle narratives of passage. She brings together volcanic rock and obsidian from Pedregal, stone rubbings and pink marble from Puebla with resin, delicate metal flowers, and touches of gold leaf, jigsawing these elements into pathways and poetic puzzles. Her miniature staircases invite us to enter her world, while her paintings gently return us to the land on which we stand.
Krauze’s work is the result of explorations across different environments. The artist collects common elements from nature which, through subjective and personal motivations, become part of the material and visual documentation of her inner search processes and surroundings. Krauze works across a wide range of disciplines and formats, from drawings to immersive installations, generating both intimate and bodily experiences that communicate her creative process while establishing a horizontal relationship between herself and the viewer. Her pieces are the echo and synthesis of the correspondence between internal and external discoveries, resulting in poetic and enigmatic installations and objects produced with materials such as stone, metal, wax, water, and textiles.
