Mar, Blanca, Florencia, Lea, Nadia: Artists in residence

September 1 - October 30, 2026
Overview

Matter can hold a trace, record a gesture, or take the form of something we do not yet know how to name. This exhibition brings together the practices of Florencia Serrao, Lea Sednaoui, Mar Villegas, Nadia Lozada, and Blanca Espasa—five distinct ways of observing, transforming, and giving form to the world. Architecture, amulets, bodies, and organic forms emerge as starting points for exploring relationships between nature, perception, and transformation. Serrao’s works translate architectural rhythms and geometries; Sednaoui revisits the language of talismans to speak about desire and intention; Mar Villegas and Nadia Lozada find in the flower a form of transition, memory, delicacy, and change; while Blanca Espasa explores the biomorphic and the relationship between body and matter.

The exhibition takes on another dimension at the table. The Running Horse Table presents a tasting inspired by each artist’s universe, translating their forms, references, and sensibilities into flavors, aromas, textures, and temperatures. In this way, the work moves beyond the realm of sight and enters the body: observing becomes tasting, and each bite offers another way of approaching the pieces. Between art and cuisine, the experience invites us to discover how the same idea can transform as it moves from one material to another. The works are looked at, tasted, and shared, activating the senses from different perspectives.
